DRILL

TEAMS

What are Drill Teams?

"Drill teams is an after school program that is a great opportunity for cadets to learn more about drill than what they learn during class. We perform during events and compete against other schools to earn trophies. Drill Team with Arms handles rifles, Unarmed Drill Team performs advanced marching routines and Color Guard presents the colors. Drill teams is a fun way to meet new cadets, make new friends and develop a bond with a team."

Unarmed Drill Team

The Unarmed Drill Team competes at drill meets in both regulation and exhibition drill. Cadets learn different drill moves that they normally wouldn't learn during marching on class days. UDT specializes in complex marching patterns and should maintain the highest level of sharpness and drill execution.

Drill Teams With Arms

Drill Team With Arms is the team that performs at local drill meets with rifles.  They compete in regulation drill, which involves the basic drill movements, as well as exhibition routines in which the team can be more creative and show off their skill and finesse with the rifles. Being physically fit is important in this team and cadets who participate in 3 or more drill events receive the Drill Team ribbon.
